Winifred Manring

December 31, 1969 — February 23, 2014

Biography:  Winifred Manring, 90, of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday Feb. 20, 2014 at Altercare of Bucyrus.  Winifred was born Dec. 30, 1923 in Kirkpatrick, OH to the late Carl and Marie (Bayles) Reeder.  She was married May 26, 1942 to Harold A. Manring Sr. who preceded her in death on April 8, 2010.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by daughter and son in law Sandra and Bruce Blamer; 2 great grandchildren Connor Wilson and Nate Parker; brothers Frances, James, and Lowell; and sister Martha Ketchum.
Winifred is survived by son Harold Manring Jr., daughter Pat Seibert; grandchildren John (Kristie) Wilson, Dee Raridon, Rick (Melinda) Wilson, Larina Parker, Doug (Dawn) Manring, Shane (Lee Ann) Manring, Cassy (Shawn) Krawetzki, Robin Manring, and Brad (Angie) Seibert; sister Dorothy Steuer of Marion and sister in law Mag.
Many years ago Winifred was a cook at the Martel School and when she moved to Bucyrus worked at the Newberry Store.  She last worked at J.C. Penney in Bucyrus.  She was a graduate of Caledonia H.S. in 1941 where she was active in girls’ basketball. Winifred was currently a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bucyrus.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm at the Graveside in Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor John Cory officiating.  The family suggests memorials be made to Home Care Matters or the Crawford County Humane Society. Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
