Biography: Winifred D. Beal, 91, of Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday May 28, 2014 at her home. Winifred was born Feb. 18, 1923 in Oak Hill, OH to the late Oscar and Mary (Canter) Spriggs. She was married Nov. 1, 1945 to Edward Reuben Beal who preceded her in death on March 14, 2011. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother Gilbert and sisters Opal, Teresa, Rece, Frances, Gladys, Ruth, and Virginia.
Winifred is survived by son Lyle (Amparo) Beal of Franklin, OH; daughter Marla (Mike) Shuck of Bucyrus; grandchildren, Shari Shuck of Bucyrus; Matt Shuck of Laramie, WY; Karen Beal of Franklin and her fiancé Jason Piper of Mason; and Betty Beal of Franklin; sister MaryLou Brammer of Ironton, OH.
Mrs. Beal was a homemaker and lived most of her life in this area. She attended school in Oak Hill, was a member of Evangelical Pietist Church where she taught Sunday School, and did various types of volunteer work including the School P.T.A.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Evangelical Pietist Church, Chatfield with burial to follow in Lust Cemetery. Friends may call at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5-8 pm. The family suggests memorials be made to the Pietist Church. Expressions of sympathy can be made at munzpirnstill.com
