Biography: Wilma Y. Brown, 80, passed away March 9th, 2016 after battling an ongoing illness since August. Wilma was born in Bellevue, Ohio July 30, 1935 to the late William G. Wongler and Frances I. (Beatty) Wongler. Wilma was happily married 34 years to late Robert L. Brown. Wilma is preceded in death by husband, parents, and sisters, Virginia Lentz and Charlotte Taylor.
Wilma is survived by son, Rob (Teresa) Brown; granddaughters, Kelsey (Mitchell Phillips) Brown and Brenna Brown; special nephew, Lonnie Brown; close family friends, Mike, Melodie Fagan and family, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Wilma was a graduate of Bellevue High school then moved to Bucyrus in 1956. She worked at Bucyrus Timken and retired from there in 1994. Wilma enjoyed watching the grandkids play in sports as well as watching the Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers on TV. She also loved puzzles, jigsaws, and crosswords in her spare time. Wilma was a member of Our Masters Chapel in Benton, Ohio.
The family will be receiving friends Sunday 3-5 PM and Monday 10-11 AM at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11 AM Monday. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Moments of remembrance may be left online at munzpirnstill.com
