Roger Sturgeon was her special friend and they enjoyed spending time together.  Other special people in Willie’s life were Patty Wittington, her special niece, and cousin Shirley Pfleider, who was more like a sister.  Willie had a large extended family as well as her furry friend “Pappy”.

Willie lived nearly her entire life in Bucyrus and worked over 20 years at Liquibox in Upper Sandusky and worked at the Bucyrus YMCA front desk for several years.  She was a member of the Bucyrus Nazarene Church.

Willie worked hard to achieve her real estate license, being one of the first woman agents in Crawford County.  She worked for several agencies with ARK Realty being where she retired.  ARK Realty treated her like family.

Willie had numerous hobbies which included quilting, embroidering and crocheting.  She had a keen eye for design and color.  Willie was an excellent cook and often put you on the spot asking, “how does that taste?” which you knew always to reply, “yours is the best”.  She enjoyed trips to the beach, anywhere there was water, and going to Gatlinburg.  Watching movies and swinging on the porch were favorite pastimes which was extra special when her grandkids were there.

Willie was very witty with one liners and loved laughter, hers was contagious.  Her memory of others and events was incredible.

Most of all Willie had a special bond with each of her family.  She loved family get togethers to listen and watch everyone.
