Biography: Wilda Mae Pollock, 98, of Bucyrus passed away on Friday Jan. 3, 2014 at Heartland of Bucyrus where she had resided since Aug. 2009. Wilda was a lifelong Bucyrus resident and homemaker. She was born Nov. 11, 1915 in Crawford County to the late Forbes and Ota (Bresby) Edgington. She was married July 29, 1935 to Luther L. Pollock who preceded her in death on June 18, 1981.
She was also preceded in death by daughter Ota Dyer; grandsons Monnie Keith and Lenny Dyer; great grandsons Ronald D. Roberts Jr. and Dustin Moyer; siblings Maxine Wolf, Ada Harrison, Harmon Edgington, and Vance Edgington; as well as son in laws Eugene Sipe and Walter Dyer.
Wilda is survived by children Joyce Sipe and Robert (Freida) Pollock both of Bucyrus; grandchildren Vicki Sipe (Steven) Dishon, Teri Sipe (Michael) Mead, Lisa Sipe (Richard) Moyer, James (Julie) Keith, Pamela Keith (Ronald) Roberts, Roxann Dyer, Norma Jean Dyer, Robert Pollock, and Stacie Pollock (Nathan) Schwartz; 23 great grandchildren; 27 great great grandchildren; and granddaughter in law Shirley Dyer.
The family will receive friends on Monday at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until the time of services. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm with Rev. Carl Angel officiating, burial will follow in Oceola Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Oceola Pentecostal Church food pantry through the funeral home.
