Biography: Wayne E. "Bud" Rossman, 87 formerly of Bucyrus and most recently of Marion passed away due to health issues, on Monday August 8, 2022 in Marion. Bud was born September 6, 1934 in Bucyrus to the late Russell L. and Edna (Hunt) Rossman.
Bud graduated from Bucyrus High School and retired from the Timken Company in 1987. Upon graduation, he married the former Shirleyann Eyestone, Upper Sandusky, Ohio. During their years of marriage, they raised their 3 daughters, Debbie, Lynn and Stephanie.
Bud found love again and married the former Linda Meadows in 1977. He lovingly adopted and raised their 3 daughters, Nancy, Pam and Sarah.
To say Bud passionately loved his family is a huge understatement. He devoted his life and time to his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. He spent many hours teaching his daughters to drive, throw a softball, play tennis, and teaching the art of shooting a can off a fence post. He especially loved to take all of his family to his special fishing spots, from ponds, to rivers, to the great lakes, and as far north as the Upper Peninsula of the state up north.
When grandchildren came along, his love and passion for their activities was again his most treasured time spent. Whether it was baseball, wrestling, fishing, hunting or softball, those were Bud’s most cherished times of his life.
Bud will be sorely missed by his wife, Linda; daughters Debbie (David) Petersilge, Hudson, Ohio; Lynn (Joseph III) Lanier, Atlanta, GA; Stephanie (Mike) McDaniel, Marion, Ohio; Nancy Irwin, Bucyrus, Ohio; Pam (Mike Ireton) Rossman Bucyrus, Ohio; Sarah (Eddie) Bibler, Marion, Ohio. Grandchildren Caty and Christine Petersilge, Trent and Scott McDaniel, Samantha and Jacob Irwin, Taylor Rossman, Sydney Reed, and Matthew Bibler. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 13 at 3:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Ray LaSalle officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Crawford County Park District or the Bucyrus Nazarene Church through the funeral home.
