Wayne D. Auck

Biography:  Wayne D. Auck, 78 of rural Bucyrus passed away on Tuesday October 11, 2016 at home, his death was unexpected. Wayne was born May 4, 1938 in Crawford Co. to the late Charles and Clara (Knieriemen) Auck. He was married Dec. 14, 1958 to Naomi E. (Luidhardt) Auck who preceded him in death on Jan. 3, 1997. He was also preceded in death by daughter Barbara Ellis Aug. 9, 2014 and sister Helen Metzger Zeiter.
Wayne is survived by children Cindy (Dennis) Dunn, Bucyrus; Allen (EricBroshes) Auck of London, OH; Tami (David) Crum, Bucyrus; and Sherry (Tim Henry) Overmyer, Upper Sandusky; grandchildren Jeremy (Christy) Dunn; Kristy (Frankie) Walters; Christopher (Stephanie) Dunn; Jonn (Meghan) Knowlton; and Ashley (Russell) Blose; great grandchildren Cason, Britton, Kellan, Kyndyl, Logan, Alex, Seth, Millie and Sariah; step great grandchildren Alyssa and Kennedy; brother Dale (Janice) Auck, Bucyrus and sister Velma (Richard) Rainey, Bucyrus.

Wayne graduated from Lykens H.S. in 1956 and lived his entire life in this area. He enjoyed boating, fishing, woodworking, collecting wind chimes, his 4-Wheeler; International Tractors, Holiday dinners, and most of all camping. Wayne also enjoyed his pet dog “Shadow” who passed away last year.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Renee Ahern officiating, burial will follow in Lust Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
