Warren Easterday Brown

December 31, 1969 — May 9, 2013

Biography:  Warren Easterday Brown age 101 died on May 5, 2013 at Suncrest Adult Care Home in West Linn OR.   Born March 13, 1912 he was the son of the late Charles Albertus and Lula May (Millard) Brown.  
 
Warren was preceded in death by Alverna Elizabeth (Hoss) Brown, his wife of 60 years, brothers Harold, Alva (Bud) and Paul Brown, and nephew Herbert Brown.  He is survived by daughter Geraldine (Oswald) Merz of Marion Ohio, son Mark (Doanne) Brown of West Linn Oregon, grandson Matt (Stephanie) Brown of West Linn Oregon, granddaughters Heidi (Urs) Kunz-Merz of Uitikon Switzerland and Dana (Jason) Grigsby of Portland Oregon, and great grandchildren Alexander, Nicolas and Anna Kunz, Amelia Brown, and Katherine and Daniel Grigsby.  He is also survived by nephews Alan (Carolyn) Brown and Tom (Barbara) Brown, and nieces Shirley
(Lloyd) Klingel, and Susan (Jerry) Osborne.
 
Warren graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1930, attended Heidelberg College and was a dairy farmer on the family farm.  He served on the Sulphur Springs
 
School Board and was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church. He played basketball and baseball,  and ran track in high school.  Warren enjoyed visiting with family, reading and watching television.
 
Burial will be at the Nazareth Lutheran Church cemetery near Chatfield.  A memorial service will be held at Good Hope Lutheran Church at 11 AM on Saturday June 8, 2013. The family suggests memorials be made to Good Hope Lutheran Church or donor’s choice.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
