Wanda Grace Johnson

Wanda Grace Johnson, age 79, passed away at home surrounded by family, April 19, 2025. Wanda was born to the late Mary (Nearhood) Singer on October 30, 1945 in Everett PA, and was raised by adoptive parents Phillip Benna and Lydie Benna. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; husband Henry Johnson; and son, Mark Beach.

Wanda is survived by sons, Mike (Wendy) McDannell and Raymond McDannell; sister, Joyce Weathermann; grandchildren, Kyle (Paige) McDannell, Nia McDannell, Adam McDannell, Camden Kuehlman, Brooke-Anna Kuehlman, and Cameron Kuehlman; great-grandchildren, Kamdyn, Ameila, Kaysen.

Wanda was a member of New Hope Community Church in Bucyrus. She was a Pianist with the church, but she would also, play in retirement homes and nursing homes every weekend. Wanda loved feeding the birds when she’d take McDonalds trips, and made sure the stray cats in the neighborhood were always well fed. Some of her hobbies included, knitting, doing crosswords, crocheting, and baking. Baking was a big one for her, she was known for her homemade Buckeyes, as she served police officers, marines, and everyone in the family.
