Violet Irene Butler, 87 of rural Bucyrus passed away on Thursday December 1, 2022 at home. Violet was born October 3, 1935 in Lewis Co., KY to the late Ora Lewis and Ada (McGlothlin) Sparks. She was married December 31, 1954 to Charles Butler who survives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Russell and Johnny, sisters Audrey, Alberta, and Peggy, as well as half sisters Ramona and Louise.
Violet is also survived by son Chuck (Susan) Butler of Bucyrus and daughter Brenda (Ronald) Moses of Arcadia, OH; grandchildren Charity (Chad) Wagner, Trinity (Katie) Butler, Katie (Allen Hansen) Moses, Sarah (Zach Stieben) Moses, and Tyler Moses; great grandchildren ChayLinn (Nicholas Jeffrey), Chayde, KimberLinn, Barrett, Keegan, Landen, Calista, and Kinsley; great great grandchild Canik; sisters Shirley, Sandy, Naomi, Helen, Betty, and Linda; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Violet was a homemaker and member of the Diamond Hills Cathedral in Mansfield. She enjoyed working with her flowers, canning, shopping, travel, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Carrier officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
