Biography: Victoria “Vicky” Chase, 66, of Bucyrus passed away on Friday Jan. 10, 2014 after a yearlong courageous fight with cancer. Vicky was born June 17, 1947 in Toledo, OH to the late Ed and Germaine (Sheets) Kendall. Vicky attended school in both Galion and Bucyrus, graduating in 1965. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Cal Chase in 2000.
Vicky is survived by one son Lawrence R. Rochester III of Texas; sisters Marie Kendall, Galion and Veronica White, Bucyrus; as well as one nephew Daniel White of Bucyrus.
Vicky and her late husband lived in Cleveland and managed apartments until moving to Bucyrus in 1996. She worked at Carolyns Kitchen and KFC until 2006. She found pleasure in simple things such as sewing and making crafts. Vicky enjoyed working puzzles and had fun watching scary movies with family. She was a Christian who truly loved the Lord, spending time in prayer and reading the bible. She will be sadly missed in her family’s hearts but remembered with smiles and laughter in their memories, they loved her very much.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 5:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home and friends may call from 3:00 pm until the time of service. Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
