Timothy Ray Baird

Timothy Ray Baird, 70 of Bucyrus passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday February 7, 2024 at Avita Hospital, Galion. He had been fighting Lymphoma for the past year.

Tim was born January 12, 1954 in Shelby, OH to the late Richard and Clara (DeWitt) Baird.  He was married October 20, 1984 to Cathy (Cox) Baird who survives.  He is also survived by daughter Ashley “Mandy” (Nick) Temple of North Robinson,  aunts Delores Batesole, and Marilyn Lowmiller, as well as numerous cousins.

 Tim graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1973 and worked at Bucyrus Avita Hospital for 39 years, retiring in 2020.  He enjoyed deer hunting, socializing with friends, going to auctions with his dad, and following the Chicago Bears.  Tim was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 181.

The family would like to express their gratitude for Dr. Das & staff at Cleveland Clinic of Mansfield & also Dr. Wendt & staff of Avita ER in Galion.

The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Monday where services will be held at 6:00 pm.  Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
