Biography: Susan C. Kalb, 67, of rural Bucyrus passed away on Tuesday morning July 14, 2015 at home following a brief illness. Susan was born Nov. 3, 1947 in Massillon, OH to the late Harold and Mabel (Markley) Fleming. She was married April 3, 1971 to John Kalb who survives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Irene Hart, Ann Propst, and Sandy Lester.
Sue is also survived by daughters; Molly (Jake) Zinser, Bucyrus; Angie (Brett) DeGray, Galion; and Julie Kalb of Bucyrus; grandchildren Tara and Macey Zinser; Payne and John DeGray; extended granddaughter Alexus Ross; brothers Ray, Charles, Wayne, and Gary Fleming; sister Marjean Hamerick; brother and sister in laws Don and Christine Kalb, Cincinnati; Butch and Robyn Kalb, Columbus; Tom and Connie Kalb, Bucyrus; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Sue retired from Wynford in 2013 after 34 years working in Food Service. She was a graduate of Orrville H.S. in 1966 and lived most of her life in the Brokensword area. She was an active member of Nazareth Lutheran Church, Chatfield. Sue was an avid fan of Harry Potter and enjoyed watching reality T.V. She loved to cook, travel, and attend her grandchildren’s sporting events at Wynford. Most of all she loved being with her family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday July 21, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Nazareth Lutheran Church with Rev. Tom Pairan and Gene Luidhardt, S.A.M. officiating. The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Memorials may be given to the Nazareth Lutheran Church Improvement Fund or the Wynford H.S.
