Steven Michael "Harpo" Harter

Steven Michael “Harpo” Harter , 67 of Bucyrus passed away Sunday April 7, 2024 at Bucyrus Community Hospital following a brief illness.  Steve was born March 6, 1957 in Bucyrus to the late Richard W. and Barbara Ann (Ehrhart) Harter.  He was married March 4, 2018 to Cindy (Charlton) Harter who survives.  In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by brother Rick.

Steve is also survived by his daughter Rikki (Chris) Barton and granddaughter Lucy Barton; nephews Steven F. (Mary) Harter and Ian (Krystal) Harter; as well as cousins Tim Musselman and Connie Harter.

Steve graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1975 and worked many years building homes with Harter Builders, retiring in 2008.   Steve had many interests including Jeeps, books, cooking, classic cars, and being around his friends and family that he loved.  He was a member of the Bucyrus Moose Lodge and VFW Post 1078. 

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Monday from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute General Fund through the funeral home and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
