Steven "Doug" Grasley

Steven “Doug” Grasley, 60 of Willard Ohio passed away peacefully at his home on Friday May 17, 2024 surrounded  by his family.  Doug was born Dec 7, 1963 to the late Ronald Grasley and Barbara (Young) Spurlock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Rick Grasley and Step father Sherrill Spurlock, and a nephew and great niece. 

Doug is survived by wife of 37 years Jean (Brady) Grasley : sons Robert (Sarah) Grasley of Clyde and David Grasley of Green  Springs and one expected grand child. Brothers Tod (Carey) Spurlock - Bucyrus, Dennis (Veronica) Spurlock - California, Bill Sharp - Canada, Sisters Juanita (Curt) Eulett - Oceola, Regina(Sam) Rigney - Bucyrus, Tammy (Jeff) Chandlier - Bucyrus, sister in law Wanda Grasley, many nieces and nephews and his very loved dogs:  Kara, Daisy and Winston.

After spending many years pestering the teachers of Bucyrus City Schools, he went on to hanging drywall. For years he was employed at Gulley’s drywall then D&M drywall, later starting his own company. He loved being a drywaller and took so much pride in a job well done.

He was a family man who truly loved spending time with them. He could often be seen golfing with his boys& Uncle Bob & Larry. He was a frequent bowler at the Sycamore Bowling Alley and over the years bowled league with his Uncle Bob. He felt like everyone at the bowling alley was family. 

During the summers he was often seen pulling his camper down the road on his way to the next family camping trip. His quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor made him a joy to be around. 

Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 noon in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Bishop Ted Thomas officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.  Expressions of sympathy can be left atwww.munzpirnstill.com
