Stephen M. Reed

Stephen M. Reed, age 81, passed away at Altercare of Bucyrus June 4, 2024. Stephen was born to the late Betty J. “Arndt” Reed on October 9, 1942 in Galion, Ohio. On October 10, 1975, Stephen married the love of his life, Nancy “Heidl” Reed. Stephen is preceded in death by his mother; brothers, Donald F. Reed Jr. and David A. Reed; half-sister, Kandy L. Reed.

Stephen is survived by wife of 48 years, Nancy Reed; daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Candel-Machel; and granddaughter, Mariah Candel; nephew Doni Reed; and five nieces Angie, Beth, Kari, Stephanie and Tonya.

Stephen worked for many years with GE as an electrician. He retired from GE in 2002. Family played a big role in Stephen’s life, and his primary job after work was being a grandpa, father, and husband. He will be deeply missed.
