Shirley Ann Leonhardt

Shirley Ann Leonhardt, 83 of rural Crestline passed away on Monday April 29, 2024 at home.  Shirley was born February 25, 1941 in Bloomville, OH to the late Charles and Helen (Welly) Reiter.  She was married June 20, 1959 to Dorsey L. Leonhardt who preceded her in death on April 17, 2020.  She was also preceded in death by grandson Robert Cole, son in law Kenneth Rowlinson, and brother Charles Reiter.

Shirley is survived by five children, Jane Wells, Cathy (Dave Worden) Rowlinson, Michael Leonhardt, Debra Lemley, and Janet Leonhardt; 12 grandchildren Michael Dorsey Leonhardt, Randy (Mari) Rowlinson, Gary (Megan) Rowlinson, Josh Rowlinson, Jason Rowlinson, Wes (Amanda) Rowlinson, Jeremy Wells, Chad Wells, Amber (Joe) Kovach, Jessica (Mitchell) Stuckert, Lori Millenbaugh, and Elizabeth Cole; great grandchildren Jace, Haylie, Benjamin, Corbin, Brinley, Abe, Kenna, Caleb, Blake, Averie, Anderson, and Alissa; brother James Reiter of Oceola; sisters Margaret Guttenberg of TN and LaDonna Jean Shultz of Perrysburg, OH; as well as nieces and nephews, and her favorite dog “Dolly”.

Shirley graduated from Lykens High School in 1959 and lived her entire life in this area.  While in High School Shirley was a cheerleader, Secretery Treasurer of her class and on the bowling team.  

Shirley was an active farm wife. She worked side-by-side as a team with Dorsey to build the beautiful farm that it is today. She was the bookkeeper, farm cook, caregiver, and the glue that kept the family together. She enjoyed watching her grandkids showing in 4-H at all levels and enjoyed hummingbirds and tending to her flowerbeds.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with burial to follow in Brokensword Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Friday.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or Boys Town through the funeral home and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
