Shirley Jane Brown

Shirley Jane Brown, age 89, passed away at home surrounded by family March 27, 2025. Shirley was born to the late Harold and Getrude “Rodey” Boehler January 21, 1936 in Monroeville Ohio. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charlie Brown; sons, Chuck Brown, Chris Brown, and Craig Brown; sisters, Dorothy Truman and Arnita Myers; brother, Richard Boehler.

Shirley was survived by loving son and daughter in law Chad (Lorrie Ann) Brown; sister, Jean Fitzgerald; daughter-in-law, Tina; as well as several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Shirley was a graduate of Monroeville High School. Shirley was attending church at the Lutheran church of Nevada. She worked for many years at Wyandot Provisions which later became Honey Creek. She enjoyed her crosswords, reading, word searches, and going to shows. Shirley loved attending concerts Chad and Lorrie had, going with them to shows, there were many memories to be had between the three of them. She also loved her sweets, her ice cream of choice was strawberry, and she had to have her fries and milkshake every Friday. Shirley was a simple woman and if you knew her, you know she would have said “Don’t worry about me.”

Visiting hours are at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Monday March 31, 2025 from 11AM-1PM with services at 1PM. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.munzpirnstill.com
