Shiela Marie Surgener

Shiela Marie Surgener, age 55, passed away unexpectedly September 10, 2024 at Bucyrus Community Hospital. Shiela was born to George and Roberta (Clark) Gardner January 20, 1969 in Marion Ohio. Shiela is preceded in death by her father, George Gardner and husband, Jimmy Surgener Jr.

Shiela is survived by her mother, Roberta Gardner; children, Latasha (Ernest) Smith, Dennis (Traci) Surgener, Christopher (Nicole) Surgener, Nathan Rickett, Jayce Rickett and John John Mullins; brother in law, Jason Surgener; and sister in laws, Rebecca Rice, Barbara Rigdon, Laura Tuttle, and Brenda Dye; 16 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 6 cousins and dear friend, Heather Bierce; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Shiela worked for a number of years with IB Tech and helped MRDD families in Crawford County. She loved spending time with her family, yard sale’ing, thrift shopping, going camping and fishing. Shiela was a big Pittsburgh Steeler fan and could always be found with a can of her favorite, Copenhagen, nearby. She enjoyed motorcycle rides with her husband, and will be missed deeply by all that knew her.
