Shannon Zier Rupe

Shannon Zier, 44 of Bucyrus passed away on Monday February 13, 2023 at Bucyrus Community Hospital.  Shannon was born March 15, 1978 in Bucyrus to Helmuth Zier of Bucyrus and the late Margaret Powers.  In addition to her mother, Shannon was preceded in death by brother Chad; paternal grandparents Ludwig and Rosa Zier; and maternal grandfather Don Powers.

Shannon is also survived by father Helmuth;  children Hastin, Zaidin, and Kasen; maternal grandmother Pauline Powers; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.

Shannon graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1997 and was a lifelong Bucyrus resident.  She last worked at Wendy's in Bucyrus and prior to Wendy's she worked at Little Ceasars for several years and Polytech.  Shannon enjoyed her time in High School and being a cheerleader and more recently Shannon enjoyed her house plants and listening to music.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Fred Dible and Rev. Ray LaSalle officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service.  Memorials may be made to help defray funeral expenses and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
