Ruth B. Saffell

Ruth B. Saffell, 92 of Bucyrus passed away on Monday January 16, 2023 at home.  Ruth was born May 14, 1930 in Bucyrus to the late John A. and Mary Etta (Zaebst) Messerschmidt.  She was married November 12, 1950 to Donald H. Saffell who preceded her in death on April 1, 2015.  She was also preceded in death by brother John Messerschmidt and sisters Mary Ellen Crokie, Violet Stein, and Vada Jenny.

Ruth is survived by sons Matthew (Rebecca Evans) and Timothy both of Bucyrus; grandchildren Nathan (Anna) Saffell and Jessica (Ryan) Moyer; great grandchildren Faith, Desrae, Sierra, Lauren, Ella, Little Rosemary, Aiden, and Draven; great great grandchildren Renezmae, Jaclyn, Karli, and Legacy

Ruth graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1948 and was a homemaker.  She was a longtime active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Bucyrus.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday January 24, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Oakwood Cemetery with David Kiefer officiating.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
