Biography: Ruth H. (Heinlen) Clem, 88 of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday Aug. 10, 2017 at Carlisle Place. Ruth was born Aug. 19, 1928 in Holmes Twp., Crawford Co. to the late Emanuel S. and Cora E. (Rinker) Heinlen. She was married Feb. 18, 1951 to James Wayne Clem who preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1985. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brother Robert Heinlen.
Ruth is survived by sons Lyle W. (Barbara J.) Clem and their children Jonathan W. and Jacob W. Clem of Rockford, IL; and Allen L. (Patricia L.) Clem of Chagrin Falls, OH and their children Christin R. (Brandon) Skoglund of Brooklyn Park, MN and Cory A. Clem of Tempe, AZ; sister in law Ernestine Heinlen of Bucyrus; nephew Bruce (Barbara) Heinlen; and niece Rebecca (Randall) Hieber.
Ruth formerly worked at the Ohio Locomotive Crane Company in the Purchasing Department. She graduated from Holmes Liberty High School and attended Marion Business College. Ruth was a lifelong member of Good Hope Lutheran Church and recently celebrated the 75th Anniversary of her Confirmation Class. She was an active in both the Women's Circle and the Church Choir.
Ruth was an avid gardener and birdwatcher. She was a member of the Kingwood Herb Society, the Crawford Co. Genealogical Society, and was a supporter of the Crawford Park District.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Gene Luidhardt S.A.M. officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The family suggests memorials be made to a Memorial Fund of Good Hope Lutheran Church.
