Biography: Ruth H. Falter, 87 of Bucyrus passed away early Sunday January 31, 2016 at Maplecrest Assisted Living. Ruth was born Sept. 24, 1928 in New Washington to the late Peter and Dorothea (Studer) Nedolast. She was married June 17, 1950 to Gerald Falter who preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by son Richard Dean Falter, grandson Jason Michael Richwine, and 10 brothers and sisters.
Ruth is survived by daughter Rebecca “Becky” (Mike) Richwine of Mansfield; grandchildren Gregory (Shannon) Falter, Metropolis, IL; Joshua (Jenn) Richwine, Wilmington Delaware; Kristen (Ryan) Hall, Lady Lake, FL; and Jodi (Eric Wellman) Richwine of Mansfield; 3 great grandchildren; and sister Florence “Flo” Kalb of Bucyrus.
Ruth graduated from New Washington H.S. in 1947 and retired from G.E. after working over 39 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Rosary Alter Society. Ruth’s faith was very important to her and she looked forward to retirement so that she could attend more Masses. She was a very generous person and enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, reading, and watching the Atlanta Braves baseball and Notre Dame football.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 am in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father John Miller as Celebrant with burial to follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3-6 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with the Rosary to be recited at 5:45 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Maplecrest, or Home Care Matters Hospice. Expressions of Sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
