Ruth E. "Starr" Perman

Ruth E. “Starr” Perman, 96 of Columbus passed away on Monday February 17, 2025 at Willow Brook Christian Home in Columbus. Ruth was born December 8, 1928, in Calais, Ohio to the late William Sylvester and Emma (Cline) Starr. She was married July 22, 1950, to William “Bill” Perman who preceded her in death on October 23, 2010. She was also preceded in death by brothers Ronald and Melvin Starr.

Ruth is survived by daughter Debra (Tom) Davis of Dublin, OH as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth graduated from North Robinson High School and lived in various areas of the country before retiring with her husband to Florida in 1989. Ruth moved back to Columbus, Ohio 16 years ago. While living in Florida she was a member of the Terra Ceia United Methodist Church in Terra Ceia, FL. Ruth was a member of the Ladies' Oriental Shrine of North America, Thea Court No. 5. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards, and traveling with her husband in their motorhome. 

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, Bucyrus with burial in Sandusky Twp. Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.
