Ruth A. Couture

Biography:  Ruth A. Couture, 88, of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday Oct. 16, 2014 at Altercare of Bucyrus where she had lived since November, her death followed an extended illness.  Ruth was born Jan. 29, 1926 in Lebanon, IN to the late Carl and Theodosia (Frost) Caldwell.  She was married April 9, 1949 to Eugene L. Couture who preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1996.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sons Joseph, David, and Timothy, as well as brothers Paul and David.
 
Ruth is survived by children Jonathan (Sarah) of Xenia, OH; Philip (Karen) of Lapeer, MI; Paul (Jean) of Higbee MO; Thomas (Beth) of Loganville, GA; and Daniel of Bucyrus; 19 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, daughter in laws Mollie Couture of Sturgis, MI and Karen Couture of Grand Rapids, MI; and brothers Everette and George Caldwell both of Illinois.
Ruth graduated from High School in LaSalle IL in 1943 and attended the Moody Bible Institute for 3 years.  She was a member of Wayside Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 pm in Wayside Chapel with Rev. Timothy Compton officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.  The family suggests memorials be made to Inspiration Ministries through the funeral home and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
