Rosemary E. Hord

Rosemary E. Hord, 96 of rural Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday September 11, 2024 at Marion General Hospital. Rosemary was born October 23, 1927 in Akron, OH to the late Robert and Eva (Janka) Kline. She was married July 27, 1949 to Richard M. Hord who preceded her in death on March 9, 2014. Rosemary was also preceded in death by daughter in law Cindy Hord, brothers John, Richard, Robert, and Raymond Kline as well as sisters Dorothy Wilson, Marjorie Peabody, Evelyn Fairchild, and Betty Straub.

Rosemary is survived by sons Jeffrey of Bucyrus, Jerry (Katy) of Cumming, Georgia, and Joe of Los Osos, CA; grandsons Hamilton and Lucas; and many nieces and nephews.

Rosemary graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1945 and attended Tiffin Business College for secretarial studies. She worked at the former Scheck’s and A & P in Bucyrus before going to work for 20 years as a Secretary for the Crawford County Commissioners. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

A Memorial Mass will be held in Holy Trinity Catholic Church at a later date to be announced. The staff of the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
