Robert Niel Downing

Biography:  Robert Niel Downing, age 59, passed away surrounded by family April 28, 2017. Bob was born to Robert and Kirstine Downing in Topeka Kansas June 3, 1957. Bob is preceded in death by mother Kirstine Downing.
Bob is survived by sons, Jeremy (Dolly) Downing and Ryan Downing; daughter, Emilee Downing; sisters, Julie and Jackie Robison; special friend, Linda Grasely; first wife, Connie Sharp; grandchildren, Kelsey, Dylan, and Austin Downing; great-grandson, Brennan Downing; nephew, Simon Downing; nieces, Zoe Downing and Jayda Robison.
Bob was a year ‘75 graduate of Bucyrus High school. He worked for a number of years with Checkmate of Bucyrus as a supervisor.  Bob loved listening to music and collecting records in his spare time. He also enjoyed spending time with family and watching his favorite Cleveland sports teams and the OSU Buckeyes. One maybe unknown fact about Bob was his love of creating art pieces, whether it be with wood burning or canvas he loved creating things.
Visiting hours are Tuesday May 2 from 4-6 with a service to follow at 6 PM  at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made through the funeral home. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.munzpirnstill.com
