Robert L. Gearhart

Biography:  Robert L. Gearhart, 72 of Bucyrus passed away on Saturday July 29, 2017 at Bucyrus Community Hospital following a battle with cancer.  Robert was born Dec. 14, 1944 in Nevada to the late Richard Gearhart and Maxine (Williams) Kissling.  He was married Oct. 28, 1972 to Patsy (Sloan) Gearhart who survives.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Toby Reinhart and her son Larry Reinhart; step brother John D. Kissling and mother in law Aline Sloan.


Robert is also survived by son Jason (Nicole) Gearhart, Bucyrus; grandchildren Natasha Gearhart, Skyler Gearhart, MaKenzie Gearhart, Olivia Gearhart and Dekon Harper; great grandchildren Layla and Zayden Wireman and Khiara Jones; brother Richard (Dorothy) Gearhart, Nevada; sister Suzette (Mike) Burger, Bucyrus; step brother Delbert Kissling, Bucyrus; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.


Robert loved fishing, playing pool, guitar, and cards as well as listening to music.  Robert enjoyed his friends and family especially playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.


The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm.  Funeral Services will begin at 5:00 pm with Bishop Ted Thomas officiating.  The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
