Biography: Rick Grasley, 56, of Bucyrus passed away on Monday Oct. 6, 2014 at the Akron City Hospital following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Rick was born Sept. 13, 1958 in Bucyrus to the late Ronald E. and Barbara (Young) Grasley Spurlock. He was married Sept. 10, 1977 to Wanda (Ten Eyck) Grasley who survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Patrick Ten Eyck and step father Sherrill Spurlock.
Rick is also survived by children Jennifer (Shaun) Pierce, Darrell (April) Grasley, and Richard (Michele) Grasley all of Bucyrus; grandchildren Tameka Drew, Bryce Pierce, Kaitlyn (Christopher) Leblanc, Patrick, Steven, Yetta, and Carlos Grasley; great grandchild Christopher Leblanc III; siblings Regina (Sam) Rigney, Bucyrus; Juanita (Curt) Eulett, Bucyrus; Doug (Jean) Grasley, Clyde; Dennis (Roni) Spurlock, Crescent City, CA; Todd (Carey) Spurlock, Bucyrus; and Tamara (Jeff) Chandler, Bucyrus; step mother Pat Grasley of Bucyrus.
Rick lived his entire life in the community and worked for Gully Drywall for the past 37 years. He was a member of New Day Ministries. Rick enjoyed going to Cedar Point (20 times this year), motorcycle riding, Elvis Presley, crocheting, and being with his grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday Oct. 13, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Thomas officiating, burial will be in Oceola Cemetery.
