Biography: Richard R. "Dick" Sharp, 82 of Bucyrus passed away on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Dick was born October 1, 1935 in Mansfield to Clyde Sharp and Florence (Morehead) Rahm. He was first married July 24, 1954 to Joanne (Judd) Sharp who passed away Nov. 16, 1991. On July 1, 1994 he married Darlene (Adams) Sharp who survives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 12 siblings. Dick is also survived by children Greg (Renee Fisher), Connie, and Bill (Waive), all of Bucyrus; step children Leslie (Tom)Starner, Pete (Christy Smith) Thitoff, and Ray (Sharon) Thitoff; grandchildren Mark, Shane, Jeremy, Ryan, Brandi, Alisia, Sasha, Christopher, Toni, Jessie, Devon, Dustin, Torrey, and Travis; 20 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Dick retired in 2000 from Timken after working over 30 years. He was formerly a member of the Bucyrus Moose Lodge and VFW Post 1078. Dick loved all sports, especially local High School sports of which he coached baseball and was very active in fast pitch softball.
Dick was a fan of the OSU Buckeyes, the Boston Red Sox, and the Cleveland Browns. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Corwin officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
