Richard L. Bauer

Biography:  Richard L. Bauer, 69, of Bucyrus passed away on Sunday April 20, 2014 at Bucyrus Community Hospital.  Richard was born June 29, 1944 in Bucyrus to the late A. Gerald and Virginia (Ahlfeld) Bauer.  He is survived by sisters Sharon Webb of Portsmouth, VA and Cindy (Larry West) Eggelston of Bucyrus; brother William (Phyllis) Bauer of Sycamore; as well as nieces and nephews.
 
Richard lived in Bucyrus his entire life and was a 1963 graduate of Mt. Zion High School.  He had worked at Shunk and North Electric as well as farmed.  Richard enjoyed doing woodworking and volunteering at the First Church of the Nazarene and helping with the maintenance needs.  He sang in the BNC choir for over 20 years.  Richard was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.  For many years Richard followed his nieces,nephews, and great nieces and nephews sporting activities.
 
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Ray LaSalle officiating, entombment will be in the Brokensword Columbarium.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 pm.  Memorials may be given to the Diabetes Foundation or Bucyrus Nazarene Church and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
