Richard D. Crary, 83, of rural Bucyrus passed away on Tuesday May 14, 2024 at Trustwell Living where he had been for a week in Hospice Care. Richard was born May 2, 1941 in Upper Sandusky to the late Charles and Doris (Weaver) Crary.
Richard is survived by sons Ricky Crary and Chris (Rachelle) Crary; two grandchildren; sister JoAnn Clotworthy; brother David (Sharon) Crary; nieces Anne (Brian) Berger and Alison (Mingo) Rodriquez; and nephew Brad Jenkins. Richard will be missed by his family, buddies from the Eliminators Car Club, The Breakfast Club, and friends at McDonalds, close friends Glenn and Linda Steiner, Mike and Sue Caskey, and special friend Sandy Ehrhart.
Richard attended school in Upper Sandusky and Bowling Green. He worked as an engineer for General Electric until his retirement. Following retirement, he dedicated his time to restoring Classic Corvettes.
Richard helped start the McDonald’s Car Show in 2007 and helped raise many thousands of dollars for the Ronald McDonald House. He was a member of the Eliminator’s Car Club and the Bucyrus Nazarene Church.
The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. Officiating services will be Rev. Ray LaSalle and burial will follow services at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bucyrus Nazarene Church or the Bucyrus Outreach Center.
