Biography: Rev. Donald W. Lambert, 79, passed into the arms of Jesus Monday night, September 1st 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Donald was born October 16, 1934 in Ruggles, Ky to the late Samuel and Beulah (Dummitt) Lambert. He was the former pastor and still a member of Sharon Christian Holiness Church, 4391 Beechgrove Rd, Bucyrus. He married Helen I Spriggs May 29, 1953 and together they had 9 children.
He is survived by six children, son, Randy A Lambert, daughters, Barbara (Tom) Brown, Midge (Tom) Armbruster, Allena Hunter, Beth (Gary) Vinson, Cindy (Mike) Jones, 24 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren with one more due in October, brothers, Jack and Roger Lambert, and sisters, Mary Clark, Mazie (Ralph) Butler and Margie Hughes.
Donald shared his love of Jesus with his family and everyone he met by living a godly life every day. From him his family learned unconditional love, a strong work ethic, love of adventure, humor, strength of character, and real joy. He was always willing to help others and used his ingenuity to solve problems. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather, neighbor and friend. The legacy of his life will carry on through the Godly seeds he has sown in his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen I Lambert, two sons, Donald O Lambert, Thomas W Lambert, daughter, Sandra Wise, great grandson, Jonathan Gage Armbruster, son-in-law Rick Hunter, two brothers Lester and Stanley Lambert, and one sister, Mildred Bauer.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill funeral home with Pastor Ray LaSalle officiating. Burial will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.
