Rev. Leonard E. Riddle

Biography: Rev. Leonard E. Riddle, 76 of Bucyrus passed away on Friday morning October 18, 2013 in Marion General Hospital Emergency Department following a short illness. He was born November 24, 1936 in Monona County, Iowa the son of the late Brady and Ernestine (Ridley) Riddle. On December 26, 1971 he married Frances Ferguson who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Rick Riddle of Abilene Texas, Jeffrey of Mid-City, Missouri, and Melody of Houston, Texas as well as numerous Grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers, Myron (Diane) Riddle of Kearney, Nebraska and his sister, Hazel Hanson of Castana, Iowa. Along with his Parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Scott Riddle, his sister, Neva Olson, his brothers, Charles, Floyd, and Loren Riddle.
Reverend Riddle was a retired Pastor Emeritus with Lutheran Churches of the Missouri Synod. He attended the Lutheran Lay Ministry in Milwaukee and graduated from Concordia Seminary in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was a Member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mansfield and was an Honorable Veteran of the U.S. Army.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday October 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Pastor Denis Wittenberger officiating. The family will receive friends after 9 AM until the time of service. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in New Washington at a later date. Memorials may be made through the funeral home.
