Biography: Raymond “Ray” Edward Heinlen, age 75, went to be with the Lord February 8, 2018. Ray was born to the late William and Mary (Haycook) Heinlen January 4, 1943 in Bucyrus, Ohio.
Ray married Barbara Mostoller July 18, 1997. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Wayne Heinlen; sister, Barb Beighly; and the mother to their three children, Bonnie Rinker. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Barbara Heinlen; children, Ryan (Andrea) Heinlen, Rami (Clifford) Beck, and Adam Heinlen; stepchildren, Bob (Jeannie) Mostoller, Stephanie Butler, and Jeff (Michelle) Mostoller; brothers, Don (Linda) Heinlen and Charles (Nancy) Heinlen; grandchildren, Averee, Aydan, and Aspen Heinlen, Sarah, Sophia, and Isaac Beck, Chad Mostoller, Timothy Butler, Shawn and Maxwell Frey, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ray has been a lifelong resident of Bucyrus. He worked with Swan Rubber for 11 years. Then went on to retire from Timken after 30 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time and helping with contract work. Ray was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church and loved attending the prayer breakfast. He was a member of Bucyrus Police Auxiliary in the 1970’s. Ray was involved with the Country Gentlemen and the Minstrel Show. Ray and Barb loved spending weekends with their friends at the campground.
He enjoyed getting out on his motorcycle to ride around town as well as playing cards with his brother and liked putting together puzzles in his spare time. Visiting hours are from 11AM to 1PM at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home Monday February 12, services are scheduled for 1:00 pm. Burial is at Crawford County Memory Gardens following the service.
