Raymond Chapman

Biography:  Raymond Chapman 75 of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday February 8, 2018 at home.  Raymond was born October 12, 1942 in Freeburn, KY to the late Peyton and Eunice (Mounts) Chapman.  He was married Dec. 31, 1964 to Frances Ellen (Boyle) Chapman who survives.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Craig and 8 siblings.


Raymond is also survived by son Raymond Eugene (Rhonda) Chapman of GA; daughter Frances Lynn (John) Martin of Mansfield; grandchildren Ashley and Luke Martin, Christopher and Joshua Chapman, and Amber Davenport; 2 great grandchildren Peyton and Porter; brother Carl Chapman of KY; sisters Ethel Mae Mitchell of KY, Martha Gosch of Bucyrus, and Emma Jean Lewis of KY.


Ray moved to Bucyrus 50 years ago and worked for BAJA Boats for 23 years.  He attended Christ Gospel Church and enjoyed gardening, fishing, raising livestock, honey bees, making beef jerky, and spending time with his grandchildren.


Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Hager officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
