Biography: Randolph Gilliam, 86, formerly of Bucyrus, passed away on Thursday June 19, 2014 at Crestwood Care Center, Shelby following an extended illness. Randolph was born Oct. 8, 1927 in Harris, KY to the late Roy and Ardath (Butler) Gilliam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wives Pauline (Gulley) Gilliam and Deloris (Hicks-Schulz) Gilliam; step son Roger Schulz; brothers Carl, Harold, Earl, Gary, and Wayne Gilliam; and sisters Geneva Gilliam, Norma Ball, Lillian Campbell, and Madeline Morgan.
Randolph is survived by son Joe (Alice) Gilliam of Mansfield; step children Beverly Schulz, MA and Fred Schulz, AK; grandchildren Laurie (Rick) Obenour; Mike (Dani) Gilliam; and Tara Gilliam; step grandchildren; Mark and Nicole Shulz; Adam and Zachary Copperstein; great grandchildren Sam, Josh, and Jacob Gilliam; Garrett Obenour; brothers Kenneth, VA and Robert and Don Gilliam both of KY; sisters Olive Masters, Vernus Miller, and Sue Sutherland all of Mansfield; Helen Gilliam of Grove City; Audrey Fetterhoff of Hilliard; Aldene Burton and Wanda Hardeman of KY; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gilliam retired from Swan Rubber after 26 years. He was a WWII Army Veteran and enjoyed family gatherings.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Clifford Earl Tackett officiating, burial will follow in Crawford Co. Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 pm.
