Biography: Ralph R. Grubel, 63 of Bucyrus passed away on Sunday May 14, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Ralph was born May 23, 1953 in Carey to the late Delmar and Helen (Austin) Grubel. He was married July 1, 1977 to Pamela (Keller) Grubel who survives. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son Loren Michael Grubel and brother in law George Vulitich. Ralph is also survived by brothers Edward (Diane) Grubel of Washington State, Vernon (Ruth Ann) Grubel of Carey, and Paul (Rosa) Grubel of Georgia; and sister Frances M. Vulitich of Upper Sandusky.
Ralph was a Bucyrus Police Officer from 1974 until 2008. He last served the department as Court Officer and Patrolman. Ralph graduated from Carey H.S. in 1971 and moved to Bucyrus in 1974. He was a member of the Sycamore Masonic Lodge, the Bucyrus Moose Lodge #669, and the Fraternal Order of Police.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Gary Schiefer officiating, burial will follow in Nevada Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home where FOP Services will be held at 7:30 and Masonic Services at 7:45 pm. The family suggests memorials be made in the form of contributions to the Community Foundation for Crawford County (CF for CC) with Loren's Cancer Care Fund in the memo line.
