Biography: Polly (Bailey) Lacey, age 94, went to be with the Lord November 06, 2016. Polly was born December 8th 1921 in Salyersville, KY to the late Kendall and Rosa (Sheperd) Bailey. Polly is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Woodrow R. Lacey, son, Henry C. Lacey, infant son Kindle Lacey, brothers, Jim, Frank, Fred, and Bert Bailey, sister, Pearley Mize.
Polly is survived by son, Kenneth (Betty) Lacey of Bucyrus; daughter-in-law, Maxine (Rhodes) Lacey of Bucyrus; sisters, Elva (Bailey) Reed of Shelby and Roberta (Bailey) Cole of Mansfield; brother, Delmer Bailey of Shiloh; sister-in-law, Mazie Lacey of Bucyrus, 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Polly spent the majority of her life as a housewife and mother. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and canning vegetables from her garden until she became disabled, at which time she continued her many sewing projects making quilts and dolls for family and friends. Polly had a very generous heart, at times to a fault. Even through all her trials and disability, she always had an easy smile and laugh. She loved her family and her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Shiloh United Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held 12 noon Thursday November 10, 2016 at Nazareth Lutheran Cemetery in Chatfield OH. Pastor and brother Delmer Bailey is officiating services.
