Paul was born June 28, 1938 in Chatfield to the late John Wesley and Rosena (Kalb) Beal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers James W. Beal and John R. Beal, as well as brother in law Pete Yaussy.
Paul is survived by sons Bradley (Robyn) Beal of Shelby and Brenden (Mary) Beal of Jeromesville; grandchildren Elijah, Isaiah, Brittany, and Skylar; one great granddaughter Lylah; twin brother Silas (Sharon) Beal of Worthington and one sister Joanna Yaussy (her husband) of Bucyrus as well as sister in law Edna Beal of Bucyrus. Paul is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul graduated from Chatfield High School in 1956 and served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1960. He has lived in the Mansfield area since 2000 and prior to that lived in both Lucas and Crestline for 25 years. Paul was retired from both Therm-O-Disc in Mansfield as a sales engineer and ITT North in Galion. He was a member of the Chatfield Pietist Evangelical Church.
Paul was not outwardly a religious person but practiced his fundamental bible beliefs inwardly or on an individual basis. He was always eager to discuss with anyone their core biblical beliefs "law vs grace" "Peter's gospel vs Paul's gospel" etc..These beliefs were taught from their childhood up by christian parents and were further confirmed by "Through the Bible" by Les Feldick. Which Paul also supported for many years.
Paul had three bible verses that were very meaningful to him:
Acts 16:25-34
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
