Biography: Paul A. Riedlinger, 85, of Bucyrus passed away Sunday evening at Bucyrus Community Hospital, his death was unexpected. Paul was born Nov. 11, 1928 in Wyandot Co. to the late Andrew J. and Edith (Courtad) Riedlinger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three wives, the former Barbara J. Bardon, Doris Griffith, and Shirley Gibbs; infant son Charles; brother Earl Riedlinger; sister Mary Loveridge; and brother in law Ken Eckelberry.
Paul is survived by Children Carol (James) Lanker, Bucyrus; Robert Reidlinger of Phoenix; Teresa (Bud) McCarthy of Bucyrus; and Donna (Bob) Massey of Bucyrus; grandchildren B.J. (Jenny) Massey, Amy (Steve) Libby, Jimmy (Kendra Bair) Lanker, Katie (Eric Johns) Lanker, Josh (Monica) McCarthy, Brad (Andrea Gobs) McCarthy,and Trevor McCarthy; great grandchildren Alyssa, Gage, Danielle, Madison, Dylan, MiKyla, Owen, Cheyenne, Noah, Kayleigh; brothers David (Irene) Riedlinger and Jim (Eva) Riedlinger both of Upper Sandusky; sisters Dorothy (Earl) Albus of Carey and Clara Eckelberry of Sycamore; sister in law Joann Riedlinger of Upper Sandusky; and special care giver Debbie Musselman.
Paul attended school in Upper Sandusky. He worked at Swan Rubber, farmed, drove a milk route as well as truck, and worked at Timken. Paul moved to Texas in 1982 and retired in 1993. For 20 years Paul owned the D & P Trailer Park in Longview TX until 2005. Paul lived in Bucyrus, Cleveland, and Texas. He loved to camp with his motor home, gardening, flowers, tinkering in the garage, his dog Mitzie, and going out to eat with his family. Paul was a member of the Moose.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Corwin officiating, burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Upper Sandusky. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-6 pm.
