Biography: Pastor Danny Jay Jackson, 50, most recently of Galion and a longtime Bucyrus resident, passed away on Saturday November 14, 2020 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. Danny was born September 11, 1970 in Warsaw Indiana to the late Stanley Franklin Jackson and Patty Marie (Lambert) Spurlock of Bucyrus. He was married August 18, 2010 to Kimberle (Atwell) Jackson who also survives along with children Shannon, Christopher, and Joshua Jackson all of Bucyrus, Kelsie Edwards of Crestline, baby girl Kendra Edwards of Galion, James DeGraaf Jr. of Galion, and Myles and Joel Britt both of Galion; 7 grandchildren; and sisters Debra Banks and Donna Smith both of Bucyrus. He was preceded in death by his great nephew Bane Bare.
Danny was more than a number of Covid he was a pastor, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Danny graduated from Pioneer in 1989 and served in the U.S.Army during Operation Just Cause in Panama. He was a member of VFW Post 1078 in Bucyrus. He was employed by Eagle Crusher in Bucyrus for the past 26 years. Danny was Assistant Pastor at Hope on the Hill Chapel in Leesville. Danny loved God, nascar racing, bluegrass gospel music and fishing with his son.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Hope on the Hill Chapel on Friday at 5:00 pm with Pastor Mike Rose officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 pm until the time of the service.
