Biography: Ollie Trout Jr., 66, of rural Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday morning at home following a brief illness. Ollie was born Jan. 24, 1948 in Portsmouth, OH to the late Ollie Trout Sr. and Ada (Wells) Trout who survives in Galion. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother in law Larry Seif.
Ollie was married March 31, 1994 to Tami (Spaid) Trout who survives along with children Colin Trout of Beach City, OH; Jeff (Rachelle) Trout of Ampstead, NC; Elise Tackett of Bucyrus; and Angela (Christohper Hester) Tackett of Bucyrus; grandchildren Christopher, Rebecca, Savannah, Nathan, and Alannah; sisters Ellen Seif of Galion and Connie (Jim) Stagger of Heartland, MI; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ollie retired in 2003 from General Electric in Bucyrus. For many years Ollie was a Capt. With the Bucyrus Twp. Fire Dept. He enjoyed gardening, riding his Harley, NASCAR, the Cleveland Indians, fishing at the cottage in Northern Michigan, and he loved drinking beer. For many years Ollie participated in Drag Racing and was a regular at the Indy 500.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 3:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of service. The family suggests memorials be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association or the donors choice and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
