Norma S. Kisor, 82 of Bucyrus passed away on Monday January 23, 2023 at home following a lengthy illness. Norma was born October 10, 1940 in Cardington, OH to the late Richard A. and Katherine F. (Schwartz) Walkins. She was married July 16, 1960 to Ronald L. Kisor who preceded her in death on July 25, 2011. She was also preceded in death by son Patrick Kisor, granddaughter Alexa Young, and brother Rodney Walkins, brother and sister in law Betty and Carl Schuster.
Norma is survived by children Denise (Tom) Young, Amy Zeigler, Phil (Tina) Kisor, Holly (Patrick) Tetreault, and Shelly Kisor; daughter in law Kim Kisor; grandchildren Becky, Justin, Casey, Nathan, Jaimey, Garret, Dylan, Samantha, Taryn, Wyatt, and Shelby; 10 great grandchildren; brothers Jerry (Carol) Walkins and Thomas (Dana) Walkins; sisters Diane Fawley, Charlene (Dave) Bowling, and Karen (Mark) Reed; brother and sister in law Ralph and Ann Kisor; her beloved dog Buckeye; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Norma graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1958 and worked for a short time at Lee's Shoes and for her father's store. After the children were raised, Norma worked for Michael Kennedy, at the Boat Store with her husband and at Lee's Shoes before retiring.
Norma was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, cooking, and attending her grandkids sporting events. She was also a big fan of Ohio State Football, and the Cincinnati Bengals.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday at 11:00 am in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Paul Fahrbach as Celebrant. The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Thursday from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm and the Rosary will be recited at 5:45 pm. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Holy Trinity Church. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
