Norma J. Thacker

Biography: Norma J. Thacker, 78 of Bucyrus passed away on Monday March 14, 2022 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Newark following a brief illness.  Norma was born November 28, 1943 in Bucyrus to the late Mervin and Ethel (Allen) Heckert.  She was married in 1960 to Raymond Leo Thacker who preceded her in  death on March 10, 2007.  Norma was also preceded in death by granddaughter in law Heather Stiger, brothers George, Melvin, and Arthur Heckert as well as sisters Betty Nicholson and Helen Heckert.  

Norma is survived by daughter Irene (Phil) Stiger of Bucyrus; grandson Phillip Stiger of Marion; grandchildren Alexis and Parker; sister Joyce McCleese of Bucyrus; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 
Norma lived her entire life in Bucyrus and was a homemaker.  She formerly was a member of the Galion Moose and enjoyed doll collecting. 

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday March 21, 2022 in the Richland Road Church of Christ, 535 Richland Rd., Marion with Rev. Russell Howard officiating.  Burial will take place later in Campbell Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 4:00 pm until the time of the service.  Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society or the Richland Road Church through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.
