Biography: Norma J. Armbruster, 81, of Bucyrus passed away on Tuesday October 8, 2013 in Heartland of Bucyrus. Norma was born July 27, 1932 in Lore City, OH to the late James and Reva (Reid) McElroy. She was married Nov. 24, 1951 to Clarence Armbruster who preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1990. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by great grandson Jonathan Gage Armbruster and brother in law Bill Oliver.
Norma is survived by children, Jim (Becky) Armbruster, Bucyrus; Jane (William) Blum, Bucyrus; Tom (Midge) Armbruster, Bucyrus; Teresa (Denny) Mosley, Galion; Barb (Jerry) Martin, Bucyrus; and Julie (Gary Bucher) Armbruster, Bucyrus; 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brothers Jim (Joann) McElroy and Jerry (Sara Jane) McElroy as well as one sister Judy Oliver all of Byesville, OH.
Norma worked at various businesses in Bucyrus after moving here in 1960 from the Zanesville area. She had worked at Holy Trinity School Cafeteria, Lawsons, Jean Frock’s, J.C. Penny, Connelly, and Odd Lots. Norma was a graduate of Valley Local School in 1950 and has been a longtime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, and being surrounded by her family.
The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Friday from 5-8 pm where prayer services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
