Nancy M. Volkmer

Nancy M. Volkmer, 91 of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday September 12, 2024 at Wyndmoor of Marion following a brief illness. Nancy was born January 4, 1933 in Bucyrus to the late Virtue and Florence (Eichelberger) Fawley. She was also preceded in death by her husband Murray C. Volkmer on September 30, 1983; daughter Peggy Sue Dewiel, son Timothy Volkmer and his wife Nancy, and brother Robert “Bill” Fawley.

Nancy is survived by Children Wendy Tierney and Robbin Johnson; grandchildren Amy, Emily (Chad), Joey, Missi (Steve), Tori, and Aubrey; great-grandchildren Domenick, Dakota, Alexis, Cassi, Arledia, Ben, Makinzey, Rayn, Marissa, Austin, and Paxton,; great-great-grandchildren Audrianna, Novelea, Lakey, Rowan, Aaron, Griffin, Sebastian, Kenni, Octavia, Kodin, Kyler, Hayes, Mikayla and Zeke and one on the way; son in law Joe Dewiel; as well as nieces and nephews. 

Nancy graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1951 and lived in Bucyrus her entire life. She attended the Bucyrus Nazarene Church. Nancy mostly enjoyed her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Bucyrus Nazarene Church with Rev. Ray LaSalle officiating. Burial will follow services in Brokensword Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.
