Nancy J. Zorns

Biography: Nancy J. Zorns, 79 of Bucyrus passed away on Monday September 17, 2018 at home. Nancy was born November 16, 1938 in Bucyrus to the late Gerald W. “Red” Haefer Sr. and Lillian (Oberlander) Haefer. She was married May 28, 1955 to Clarence “Bub” Zorns who survives. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by half sister Wanda Mire.


Nancy is also survived by children Rick Zorns of Bucyrus and Deborah (Gary) Mapstone of Bucyrus; grandchildren Dale (Erin) Gingery of Bucyrus and Abigail (Shaun) Duhe of LA; one great grandchild Noah Gingery; brother Jerry Haefer Jr. and wife Maxine; as well as her pets Roscoe and Buddy.


Nancy retired from Swan Rubber after 29 years and worked at United Dairy Farmers for 11 years. She lived her entire life in Bucyrus and attended Bucyrus Schools. Nancy enjoyed camping, bowling, crossword puzzles, watching game shows, cookouts, and spending time with her family.


Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Angel officiating, burial will follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
