Michael S. Ricksecker

Biography:  Michael S. Ricksecker, 54, of Bucyrus passed away on Tuesday Aug. 18, 2015 in O.S.U. Hospital, Columbus following an extended illness.  Mike was born May 4, 1961 in Galion to Larry (Danielle) Patton who survives and the late Judy (Ricksecker) Dominey.  He was raised by his late grandparents Scott and Lois (Caris) Ricksecker.  In addition to his mother and grandparents, he was preceded in death by niece Ashley Leuthold and nephew Brian Nickelson. 
 
Mike is survived by his wife Christine Nickelson; brothers Anthony Baldwin, James Baldwin, Josh Patton, and Jesse Phillips; sisters Tammy Patton and Patty Childress; father and mother in law James and Rita Nickelson, Avon Park, FL; nephew that he raised Scott Wicker; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.
Mike enjoyed working on cars as a mechanic and raced cars at Norwalk.   He worked for several years in Tree Service.  Mike loved his cats “Sunny” and “Itzee” as well as boating and train collecting.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday Aug. 29th at 11:00 am at Camp Michael.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Bishop Ted Thomas along with Mike’s brother in laws Jim, Mike, and Grant Nickelson will be officiating the services.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
