Michael "Mick" Rankins

Biography:  Michael “Mick” Rankins, 66, of Bucyrus passed away on Monday Jan. 20, 2014 at Bucyrus Community Hospital.  Mick was born May 1, 1947 in Lewis Co., KY to the late Edward and Mamie Rankins.  He was married to Rita (Holt) Rankins who survives along with two children; Christopher and Daniel both of Bucyrus.  He is also survived by grandson Joshua, brother Jack, and two sisters Wanda Rigdon and Deloris Landes.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 7 siblings.
 
Mick was the former owner and operator of Mick’s Place on Hopley Ave. in Bucyrus as well as retiring from Ryder Heil Bronze after 20 years.  Mick lived most of his life in the Bucyrus area.
